Whats a Girl to Do?

I am so sick of winter and ready for the warmer weather and being able to get outside on a regular basis to do more activities. My husband has been stuck in Texas for the weekend and still has nothing coming home. He's already been gone for 8 days! I get really bored at night, we talk to each other, but I dont have the company of him sitting next to me. After awhile I dont know what to do with the boys either, they are constantly with me and I cant get a break b/c its just me, my husband is stuck in Texas. Sorry just a little venting on this post. AHH the life of a truckers wife. I give single mothers alot of credit. Got any activity suggestions for me to do with the boys or for me when they are in bed, besides watch t.v or the computer would be great.

We were Bored, so... out came the Play-Doh

We decided to haul out the Play-Doh today b/c we have been trapped in the house for awhile with this cold weather and we needed something to occupy the time. Play-Doh only comes out on occassion b/c its messy and greasy and I hate cleaning it up, so they were very excited to play with it. Here are a few pics....

Christmas and the New Year

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We had a wonderful Christmas with the family and the boys recieved lots of new toys that I have finally all found a spot for (we had to get rid of/put a few toys away to make room). John got some new chrome for his semi truck that he now has back in his possesion( ..long story) so I will once again be a "single mom" :( Since he may be gone for up to 14 days at a time. But that truck is truly his passion and Im glad that he can do something he loves and can be proud of. I recieved some awesome smelling perfume and some decorative stuff for the home. We had a pretty low key New Years with some friends and their kids. 2008 was an overall good year for me a few trails and heartache in there, but I look forward to 2009 and what it will bring for our family, especially the birth of our 3rd child in July. Hope that 2009 will be a great year for all of you as well. Im not going to post any pics of the holidays, not feeling like it, Sorry- maybe later if I get motivated.

Decorating Christmas Cookies

Yesterday we made Christmas cookies, just the mixing,rolling, cutting and baking. It took about 1.5 hours to do just that and it was getting to be dinner time and I was tired, so today after 12 hours of sleep, I was ready to make the frosting and the kids were excited to decorate them. After awhile they were sick of it, so they choose a cookie to eat and then I finished up the cookies. He are a few picture of the mess we made.

Snow Fun

Today we had a snow day from school, which also means I had my sisters 3 kids. We had plenty of snow to play in so after lunch they headed out and I caught a few pics of the fun they were having. Enjoy!
