Splash Universe

This past weekend we took a little vacation with John's family to Splash Universe in Shipshewana, IN. It was a ton of fun and much nicer than I though it was going to be. I would love to make this spot a yearly mid winter get away. The boys loved it, they were old and tall enough to do stuff by themselves, except the Lazy River and the huge Vortex slides which they could still do with John or I. Carter was fearless, I thought he may be afraid b/c sometimes the slides become tunnels and its pitch black in there, but he can out with a huge grin on his face. The hotel also had a arcade, kinda like Craigs Cruisers just much smaller and a gift shop that had a Wii set up for anyone to play. They also had music at night with a dance floor and an ice cream shop next too it. They also had a resturaunt for breakfast and dinner and a small cafe inside the waterpark for lunch. The rooms were simple, clean and nice and reasonable price too that includes four passes to the waterpark during your stay. If you dont want to spend the night you can purchase day passes too and Shipshe is only about and 1-2 hours away. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for a great time. I have included a link if you want to check it out: http://www.splashuniverse.com/
My Boys: John, Riley and Carter in front of the huge play structure.
Carter loved the slides once he got used to them and he could do them all by himself.

It's not just for the kids, grown-ups can have a lot of fun too. John and Ben raced down the dual vortex slides too. It was a tie!
Adults in the hot tub, everyone but me b/c I'm preggo and not allowed (I did dip my feet in though) and someone had to take the picture. (l-r) Laura & Mike, John, and Ben & Renee.

NAMES???

Now that we found out we are having our third boy I have been busy pulling out all the old baby boy clothes and wondering how they ever fit in them and why they grow up so quick. I have also been thinking about what to name him. I know I have plenty of time, but nothing has really jumped out at me. I would love to hear your ideas, middle names too. I dont want a traditional name, but no wacky names either. What do you think would be a good fit with Riley and Carter? Let me know!!

My Three Sons (no, not the t.v show).....ITS A BOY!!!

We had our ultrasound today and found out that we are having another boy. Everyone was wrong, but Riley- he guessed it from day one. He was not being very cooperative. He was curled up on one side and he would not move, no matter how much the lady tried. So, either I have a real lazy baby or a very stubborn one :) I actually have another ultrasound scheduled for next month b/c they could not look at/measure all the stuff that they needed too and she had a hard time seeing his parts, but said she would be suprised if it was a girl, so the lady was not 100%sure so, hopefully he cooperates next time and opens them legs wide, but otherwise everything else seems to check out good and thats what i'm most thankful for. Im not going to post pics b/c of the way he was postitioned I really didnt get any good profile or face shots. He did like to show off his feet though. Maybe the next ultrasound I will get better pics and post those.

This and That

This is just a random post of things that have been happening in our lives. My husband continues to drive truck , but for a different company and he is home a little more often, which I like a lot!! We have moved the boys together into the same room to make room for baby. We did this about a month ago and it has been going really well. I have established a more routine bedtime and Carter is no longer taking naps :( so they are both pretty tired and crash really quick, but at least once or twice a week I hear them messing around up there. I have few things I would like to accomplish with Carter before baby comes, moving them into the same room was one of them, so I can check one thing off the list. The others are to get rid of the pipe, which he only has at night. I never had an issue with Riley he was done with his by 18 months, anyway... and the other is to potty train him, its not going well so far. He has not told me once he has to go today and I have him in regular underwear, so he has been through at least 8 pair of underwear. Im going to give it a week of two and then try later if he still shows no interest, he does need to be trained by the time he goes to 3school, so I have 6 months. Wish me luck- I hate potty training!!
Some exciting news soon. I have my ultrasound on Thursday, so we hopefully will find out if its a boy or a girl. Then I can either haul out all the boys clothes and put them in the babies room that is already set up and waiting for him/her or go on a shopping spree. Check back at the end of the week and I will have it posted.
